OrangeWebsite sells shared hosting, virtual servers and dedicated machines from Iceland, and the country is the product as much as the hardware is: the pitch is Icelandic speech law, an account opened with nothing but an email address, and payment in cryptocurrency if that is what the customer wants.

Worth knowing

The green claim and the anonymity claim come from the same fact, which is easy to miss. Iceland’s grid is geothermal and hydroelectric, so a server there is low-carbon whoever runs it — that is the country’s doing rather than the provider’s.

A jurisdiction is a promise about who can compel what, and it is worth reading the terms rather than the front page, since the guarantee is bounded by Icelandic law.
