Lolipop!
Japanese rental server from GMO Pepabo, selling shared hosting for personal and small-business sites through its own control panel.
Where a lot of Japanese sites start.
Lolipop is a rental-server brand operated by GMO Pepabo, and one of the places a great many Japanese personal and small-business sites begin. The entry tier costs about as little as hosting costs in Japan and still carries generous storage and a large domain allowance.
The tiers differ on real technical grounds rather than on quota alone. The upper plans run a faster web server stack and lift the database cap, the middle ones are more constrained, and shell access appears only from the middle of the ladder upwards.
Worth knowing
Advertised prices assume a multi-year contract; shorter terms cost more. The runtime versions a plan offers are not published for most tiers, so what a plan actually runs has to be discovered after purchase.
Everything — storefront, control panel and documentation — is in Japanese, and there is no English-language equivalent.
