Jailed shell
Combine filters →A jailed shell is a command line inside the container that serves the site: enough to read a log, run a migration and settle an argument about what production is actually doing. It is not a root shell, so system packages and server configuration remain the provider’s business. For most application platforms this is what SSH access means.
47 providers give a shell inside the environment, without root, listed alphabetically. Across 20 countries, commonest entry price $5 to $15 a month. 87 records do not record this field, and cannot appear here either way. For 12 the question does not apply.
