Registering a domain and hosting its DNS are different jobs, and a provider may do one, both or neither. This records whether the host runs the nameservers itself at no extra charge. Where it does not, the records point somewhere else — the registrar, a dedicated DNS operator, or a network provider — and that is one more account to hold.

27 providers host DNS themselves, at no extra charge, listed alphabetically. Across 28 countries, commonest entry price $5 to $15 a month. 89 records do not record this field, and cannot appear here either way.
