United Internet

United Internet is the German group behind Ionos, 1&1, Fasthosts, Arsys, home.pl and Strato, among others. It is a holding company: nobody buys hosting from United Internet, they buy it from one of its brands.

That is why it is here rather than in the register. The fields this dataset records — runtimes, deployment, regions, price — are properties of a product, and a parent company has none of them. Its brands answer for themselves: Ionos, Fasthosts, home.pl and Strato are listed records.

The ownership it represents is recorded where it is decidable, on those records, as ownership and a parent. That is the fact worth having: two brands that look independent can answer to the same board, and a price rise or an end of life is decided there.
