Endurance International Group

Endurance International Group assembled a large portfolio of hosting brands — Bluehost, HostGator, iPage, A Small Orange and others — and was taken private by Clearlake Capital in 2021, with the web-presence brands since operating as Newfold Digital. Nobody bought hosting from Endurance; they bought it from a brand it owned.

It is recorded for the same reason as any other parent: a group like this is where the decisions that reach a customer are made, and the brands are what a reader compares. Whether a provider is owned this way is a field on its own record, under ownership.
