Domains and DNS

Every site needs a name before it needs a host, and the two are usually bought from different companies. These are the companies that sell the first and not the second, so the register’s questions about runtimes, regions and price per month do not apply to them.

A company doing both is not here. GoDaddy and Namecheap sell domains and hosting, so they are in the register with the domain business recorded as one of their categories — that page is the hosts that also sell names, this one is the registrars that do not host. Whether a host throws a domain in with a plan is a third question, recorded as a feature of the plan.
