Platform.sh

Platform.sh was a YAML-described, git-driven PaaS with a strong following in the Drupal, Symfony and Magento worlds, and for years the most credible European answer to Heroku.

Criterion 2 — sold to the public — fails, because the name no longer sells anything. Both platform.sh and platform.sh/pricing issue permanent redirects to upsun.com. There is no Platform.sh product page, no Platform.sh price list and no Platform.sh signup left to point at; the company consolidated everything under the newer brand.

Recorded here rather than dropped because the name is still all over framework documentation, conference talks and older comparisons, and a reader who searches for it deserves to be told where it went rather than shown nothing. Upsun is listed, and is the same platform under its current name.
