Nucleus

Nucleus was an Antwerp hosting company running around 1,500 managed dedicated servers, acquired by Combell Group in January 2019; Combell then merged with TransIP Group to form team.blue.

Criterion 2 — sold to the public — fails, because nothing is sold under this name. Both the Dutch and English Nucleus addresses issue a permanent redirect to combell.com. There are no product pages, no pricing and no documentation left to describe, and existing customers were folded into Combell’s product line.

Recorded here rather than silently dropped because the brand is still cited in older comparisons and it is useful to be able to see where it went. Combell is listed, and is the entity that actually exists.
