Genezio
Genezio was a Romanian platform for deploying TypeScript and JavaScript backends as typed remote functions, with a free tier and a genuine following among developers who wanted the serverless model without the AWS console.
Criterion 1 — runs application code — fails, because the company no longer does that. genezio.com now describes itself as “the platform built for Generative Search and Answer Engine Optimization” and sells brand-visibility monitoring across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and others. There is no runtime, no deploy method and no region documented anywhere on the site.
Criterion 3 also fails. The single Enterprise plan is custom-priced, shaped around “the engines, markets, and volume you actually need”. No figure is published.
Recorded because the old product is still referenced in tutorials and framework discussions, and someone following one of those links deserves to know the platform is gone rather than assume they are looking at the wrong page. This would reverse only if the hosting product returned as a purchasable, publicly priced service.
