Byte

Byte was a Dutch host with a strong reputation in the Magento community, later absorbed into team.blue.

Criterion 2 — sold to the public — fails, because the brand no longer sells anything. byte.nl now redirects to Hypernode, the platform Byte’s engineering became. There is no distinct pricing, no distinct documentation and no distinct infrastructure left under the Byte name, which puts it in the out-of-scope category of a rebrand rather than a provider.

Hypernode itself was considered separately and is not listed either, on criterion 6.
